Parenting can be both rewarding and challenging, especially when it comes to understanding and responding to your child’s emotional needs. Circle of Security is an internationally recognised, evidence-based approach that helps parents develop secure and healthy attachments with their children.
Circle of Security is based on decades of research into attachment theory, focusing on the bond between parents and children. It empowers parents to understand their child’s emotional world and provides practical tools to meet their child’s needs while fostering independence and resilience.
The “circle” refers to the continuous journey children take between exploring their world and returning to their caregiver for reassurance and safety. Parents learn to recognise when their child needs support, encouragement, or space, helping to create a secure base for their emotional growth.
