About Nick
Nick was captain of the team that brought home the Rugby Union World Cup in 1991, the 1992 Bledisloe Cup and convincingly defeated the Springboks in August 1992. He was Australia’s most-capped scrum half and its most-capped captain.

Following his retirement in 1993, Nick, who graduated from law in 1985, worked for the mid-sized Sydney legal firm of Garland Seaborn and Abbott before joining the French Investment Bank, Societe Generale. He spent the first four years with Societe Generale working from its head office in Paris, before heading up the mining finance team in Sydney for a decade. In 2010 Nick Farr-Jones joined Taurus Funds Management as a Director. The company invests and lends funds globally in the mining sector.

He is a former Senator of the University of Sydney, Director of NRMA, Councillor of the City of Sydney and Patron of the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Foundation. He was a Director of the Wesley Mission and recently created his own charity known as Touch Life raising awareness and funds to support Wesley’s work in the homeless space. He’s also the Chair the Board of Stand Tall which, amongst other things, hosts an annual student day of hope, inspiration and leadership attracting thousands to the annual event.
