An answer to a desperate need
Life is difficult and overwhelming events and challenging situations often present themselves, causing even the most capable among us to need support.
As an answer to the desperate need of people in these necessitous circumstances, Grainery Care was established in July 2000.
To establish and carry on welfare and benevolent services solely for the benefit of persons in necessitous circumstances. This includes the direct relief of poverty, sickness, suffering, distress, misfortune, destitution and helplessness, of the inhabitants of the Hunter Valley and in particular the residents of the Greater Cessnock, Maitland, Port Stephens, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas, without distinction of age, sex, race, political inclination, religious views, or other opinions,
The charity will enlist and cooperate with the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in community efforts to reduce social and educational disadvantages and their consequences in maladaptive lifestyle patterns.
