Hosted by the Domestic Abuse Working Group (DAWG) at The Grainery

As leaders, we have the privilege and responsibility to create ministry environments where people feel safe, supported, and able to reach out when they need help.

What is this session about?
The Domestic Abuse Working Group at The Grainery is hosting a special training session on Domestic and Family Violence, presented by Heather Ritchie who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and currently works as a social worker.

This practical and informative session will help us:
– better understand domestic and family violence,
– recognise some of the signs that someone may be experiencing abuse,
– develop greater confidence in responding with wisdom, compassion and appropriate support.

Who is it for?
This session is particularly relevant for:
– Connect Leaders
– Prayer Ministry Team
– Leaders across Kids, Youth, Young Adults, Women’s, Men’s and VIPs ministries.

Question & Response Time
There will also be an opportunity to participate in a Question & Response session, providing space to ask questions and explore how we can respond well within our church and ministry contexts.
